(NOTE:This is an article about the website Howrse.com, which is having an article contest, and has nothing to do with the fanfictions on this site. )Have you ever wanted to own a horse? I'll bet at some point in your life, you wanted a horse or pony. Who hasn't? But a real horse or pony is a little expensive. But now you can raise virtual horses and ponies, with the help of Howrse.com!Howrse is an amazing site that lets you raise, breed, and race your own virtual horses and ponies- all for free. You can create an Equestrian center, have affixes, and have your very own breeding farm. Being homeschooled, and interested in animals, my mother signed me up for what the teacher called a 'pre-pre-vet class'. I met a nice girl there(nikitabreeze on Howrse), who was only a few years younger than me. (I'm almost 15) I had told her about one of my other favorite websites, neopets.com, and she told me about Howrse. When I got home, I checked it out. It looked really cool! I made an account, and made my first horse, Beauty. Little did I know, the horses can actually die, and I found that out the hard way. I was devastated. But then I found out I could re-start my account; so thats what I did. I re-made Beauty, and took extra good care of her. It was the start of my game on Howrse. I now own nine horses, and plan on more. I'm very close to a green star of excellence in speed with my horse *Sweet Melody 353.1*, and she has won 1 speed race, come in second twice, and in third three times. I still have Beauty, and she has had a baby, who is all grown up now. I am still learning much about the site every day. But all in all, I'm glad I've found out about it, and wouldn't exchange the experience of it for anything. Thank you.~Queataplai
